Middle of a February Street

When I go out in the middle of a February Street
The winter season greets
Leafless, snow covered trees stand without life like skeletons
Cars pass by
Their engines screaming in coldness
Then silence
Chilling air surrounds me
So lonely and cold
Seems winter will never end
Then children’s yelling comes around the street corner bend
Having fun with their snow fight
And building snowmen with all their might
I look around the land
White crystals glimmer
I say, “what a beauty they are”
I smell the clear air
Although lifeless and cold winter seems
Beauty, fun and goodness nature redeems
