The Colors Change

the colors change
and life turns cold
but half a week before all ends fair
red, orange, yellow
ignite to a fiery display
they are firecrackers
sent to warn heaven
that our meaning is greater
our meaning is over-rated

Though the weather may be unpredictable
your success is built upon stronger
higher ground
I believe in you
I believe in the heights you can soar
for, I have witnessed it
with mine own eyes

Half a week before the world turns gray
or rather erased to an empty white and
forgiveness is made anew
remember the firecrackers of this Earth
the blush that warmed our hearts
and ascend to greater heights
than ever reached before

alight upon the highest cloud
look back upon this Earth
remember the time
a half a week before
life changed to what it is now
whether good or bad
for I will be looking up
and praying your glory
will bend around me too
